Ronald “Kunch” Reynolds is the comedian behind Kunchi TV, one of Guyana’s best-loved online comedy brands. His 2016 “Rio Dry Swim” parody racked up tens of millions of views, and his weekly skits, with characters such as Miss Pepper, have made him a household name at home and in the diaspora.

Story
Ronald Reynolds started out performing comedy skits and joined the comedy company Mori J. Van in 2011. He launched the Kunchi TV page after his “Rio Dry Swim” video went viral in 2016.
The parody poked fun at a pre-Olympics swimming competition and drew more than 60 million views. It was shared by Jamaican dancehall stars Dexta Daps and Shenseea, and a California media company later approached him to license it.
Kunchi TV became known for weekly comedy videos about everyday life, with Reynolds playing most of the main characters himself, from Miss Pepper and Black Girl to Kunchi, Swaggle and a grandmother. By 2019 his videos were averaging around 300,000 views each, and Miss Pepper also took the stage at the “Uncensored 10” comedy show.
Today the Kunchi TV YouTube channel has more than 70,000 subscribers and still posts new skits, alongside music such as “Bye Bye”.
